1. Strict Zero-Sensitive PII Storage Guarantee

We maintain a strict zero-retention policy regarding sensitive personal identification. MilPerk does NOT collect, inspect, transmit, or store Social Security Numbers (SSNs), official military discharge documents (DD-214), state medical license numbers, government identification cards, or banking credentials.

All demographic status verifications (e.g., verifying active military, veteran, teacher, first responder, healthcare, or student status) are conducted via zero-knowledge encrypted OAuth tokens or authorized third-party verification partners. MilPerk receives only a binary verification flag confirming your eligibility.

2. Information We Collect

To provide, optimize, and secure our Platform, we collect the following categories of information:

• Voluntarily Provided Information: Account registration data, including your email address, display name, and selected demographic affinity (e.g. verifiedDemographic: "military").
• Automatically Collected Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, device identifiers, timestamp logs, and interaction data collected via standard web server logging.
• Affiliate & Conversion Data: Anonymous click-stream metrics recorded when you interact with merchant discount links, promo code copy buttons, or outbound offer redirects.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process collected data strictly for the following legitimate business purposes:

• Unlocking gated community promo codes and verifying demographic eligibility.
• Preventing fraudulent promo code abuse, unauthorized credential sharing, and automated bot scraping.
• Maintaining backend infrastructure performance, edge caching, and security auditing.
• Tracking affiliate link conversions to sustain free community access to the Platform.
• Complying with applicable legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.

4. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal data to third-party data brokers. We disclose information only under the following limited conditions:

• Merchant Partners & Affiliate Networks: When you click on an outbound discount offer, an anonymized affiliate token is transmitted to verify code redemption and commission attribution.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Service Providers: Trusted third-party infrastructure partners (including Firebase Hosting, Google Cloud Platform, and Fastly Edge CDN) process data under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by subpoena, court order, or applicable law to protect the safety, rights, or property of MilPerk or the public.

5. Data Security Safeguards

We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, destruction, or disclosure. All data in transit is encrypted via Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3), and stored data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.

While we employ state-of-the-art security controls, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you transmit data to the Platform at your own risk.

6. Your Data Rights & Account Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction (including rights under CCPA/CPRA and GDPR), you possess rights to request access to, correction of, or permanent deletion of your personal data.

To request permanent deletion of your account and associated verification metadata, submit a request to privacy@milperk.com. All data will be expunged within thirty (30) days of identity verification.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The Platform is directed exclusively to individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover a minor under 13 has provided personal data, we will immediately expunge such records.

8. Revisions to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
